Central Electrical is a family-owned business based in Launceston, proudly servicing homes and businesses across Northern Tasmania. Originally established in 2015 as Sam Dale Electrical, the business has grown into what is now Central Electrical—built on a strong reputation for reliability and quality workmanship. Sam is a proud Launceston local, committed to supporting the community with trusted electrical services.

Meet the team
Sam Dale
Director
Sam is the Director of Central Electrical, bringing over 20 years of experience as an electrician and 13 years running the business. He built Central Electrical from the ground up, originally working across all areas of the company to gain a full understanding of every part of the trade and operations.
Over the years, Sam has adapted through major changes in the electrical industry, moving from traditional systems to modern electrical, solar, battery, and energy-efficient technologies. His experience spans residential, commercial, and light industrial work, including heat pumps and accredited solar and battery installations.
Outside of work, Sam is a dedicated dad of two and enjoys spending time outdoors. When he gets the chance, you’ll find him mountain biking, fishing, hiking, or exploring with family and friends.
George Bullock
Electrician
With over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry, George brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Central Electrical team. His experience across a wide variety of electrical work makes him a trusted and reliable member of the crew.
Outside of work, George is a passionate Collingwood supporter and enjoys anything to do with cars. He’s also known for appreciating a cold VB after a hard day’s work. A proud dad of two, George spends much of his weekends at home looking after his chickens and enjoying the quieter side of life.
George’s experience, practical approach, and good sense of humour make him a valued part of the Central Electrical team.
Sam O’Shea (Shazz)
4th-year apprentice
Sam, known as Shazz, is a 4th-year apprentice and a key member of the Central Electrical team. Working across a wide range of electrical projects, he continues to build his skills and experience while delivering quality workmanship.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys staying active with a strong interest in sports, including basketball, tennis, and golf. He also has a passion for anything to do with cars.
Sam brings a great sense of humour to the team and enjoys a bit of friendly banter—often taking the mickey out of the older co-workers (all in good fun). He values positivity and creating a positive, enjoyable work environment.
The best thing about working at Central Electrical, according to Sam, is the variety of work and the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills every day.
Charlie Miller
1st-year apprentice
Charlie is a first-year apprentice and a valued member of the Central Electrical team, with a strong interest in all things outdoors. Whether it’s running, mountain biking, or hiking, he enjoys staying active and making the most of his time outside of work.
A passionate AFL supporter, Charlie backs Hawthorn and is always up for a bit of friendly banter around the workplace. He brings a great sense of humour to the team and enjoys keeping the atmosphere light—often joining in with Shazz to take the micky out of the older crew (all in good fun!)
Charlie values the variety that comes with working at Central Electrical and enjoys the opportunity to learn new skills every day. For him, no two days are the same, and that’s exactly what keeps the job interesting.
Karla
Admin
Karla is the Office Manager at Central Electrical and keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From admin to accounts, she makes sure the day-to-day side of the business stays organised and on track.
Coming from over 12 years in the real estate industry, Karla brings a strong understanding of maintenance work and what property managers and owners need. This experience fits perfectly with the work we do and helps ensure clear communication and efficient job management.
Karla is known for her attention to detail and ability to keep things under control, even when things get busy.
Outside of work, she’s a busy mum of two and enjoys balancing family life with staying active and getting to the gym when she can.
